Anxiety, Depression & Stress
Mental health in India is a growing crisis. Over 200 million people live with a diagnosable condition, including 56 million with depression and 38 million with anxiety disorders. Yet more than 80% receive no treatment, largely due to stigma, lack of awareness, and limited access to professionals. India has only 0.3 psychiatrists per 100,000 people, far below the WHO recommendation, leaving millions without support.
The impact is profound: suicide is the leading cause of death among young Indians aged 15–29, and stress‑related conditions cost the country billions in lost productivity. Women, students, and farmers are particularly vulnerable, facing unique pressures that often go unaddressed.
